Trim Celtic AFC is a volunteer led sporting organisation that was set up to promote the playing of football in Trim and surrounding areas for all ages and abilities. Founded in 1967, our club has grown to over 450 player members comprising 19 teams starting from our nursery, (aged 6 and below) to our youths’ team (under 18) all the way to our two senior teams. Our aim is to support and promote both the physical and mental health and wellbeing of our community through participation in sport.

The Vision of our Club is “to enable every person the opportunity to participate in the game of football and to provide a fun and learning environment where everyone can reach their full potential, whatever that level may be, and to inspire the locality through our footballing successes.”

Over the last number of years, the club’s focus has been on the development of both our players and coaches to increase participation, enjoyment of sport, and to create a diverse and inclusive club that represents the people of Trim and surrounding areas with distinction. Currently we are on course to receive the Club Mark award from the FAI which certifies clubs based on best practice in the governance, management and administration of a football club. This comes all the way from the FAI in trying to better train and educate players so one day they could play at the highest possible levels of the game.

More recently we have been very fortunate to attract high calibre managers including our current first men’s team manager, Robbie Horgan. Robbie recently received the Meath Chronicle “Coach of the Year” award and is a former manager of Drogheda United and Drogheda Town. In his first full season, 2022, with the senior team he has won the league and cup double. Robbie comes with a wealth of experience and has successfully achieved his international UEFA pro coaching licence certificate. This puts him in a very distinguished group of people.

We have several sponsorship tiers for signage that get seen every week at home games and training sessions by both local spectators and travelling sporters.
